BAPTISM
This sacrament is celebrated by special arrangements made by calling the parish office. First time parents must contact the parish office during their pregnancy to begin preparing themselves for their infant’s baptism. One session, about one hour in length, is required.
(Note: Former parishioners who wish to have their child baptized at St. Celestine or St. Raphael may complete the preparation process in their present parish. They need to request that a letter from their pastor be sent to the St. Celestine or St. Raphael parish office stating that they are registered and active members of their parish.)

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
This sacrament is generally received when the student is in the second grade. If the child and parents are not ready at that time, it may be received later.
St. Celestine formation classes will be twice a week August through April; First Holy Communion will be held on May 5, 2013.
St. Raphael formation classes will be once a week August through April; First Holy Communion will be held on April 28, 2013.

CONFIRMATION
Formation will start in November during the students’ sophomore year, and Confirmation Rite will be held the first Saturday in November their junior year. Formation will begin at the start of their sophomore or junior year. Formation is held outside of the Wednesday religious education classes. The next formation for Confirmation classes will begin in November 2012. The Rite of Confirmation will be held as a cluster on November 2, 2013, at St. Celestine Church.

Parent Meeting
November 7, 2012 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM will be held at St. Raphael Church Hall for Confirmation students from St. Celestine and St. Raphael.

MARRIAGE
*Couple should contact the parish office to check for availability of dates.
*As soon as date is set for wedding, please set up an appointment with the pastor or deacon.
*In accordance with the guidelines of the Diocese of Evansville, couples must contact a priest
no less than six months prior to the date selected for marriage in order to have the necessary time
to complete the program of marriage preparation.
*Packet containing all information needed can be picked up at the parish office.
Information needed for the office:
*Date/Time - Ceremony can start no later than 2:00 PM
*Who will preside - the pastor, deacon, visiting priest/deacon
(if it is a visiting priest he will need to call the office to verify the date/time)
